The Truth About Today’s Schools

Hey fam—this episode pulls back the curtain on what it’s really like to run a school in 2025.
I sat down with Angela Keating, Principal of West Scranton Intermediate School, for an honest, behind-the-scenes look at the challenges and changes happening in our schools today. From cyberbullying and social media drama to the emotional weight of worrying about kids when they go home, Angela doesn’t hold back.
We talk about how phones are handled in school, what safety looks like now, and how she navigates the ever-evolving world of teen culture—including the slang that makes most adults do a double take. If you’ve ever wondered what principals deal with behind the scenes, this one’s for you.
