- Assembles your report once the manual part of the audit is complete
- The hours you pay for go into the screen reader passes, the keyboard testing, and working out which failures matter most on your site
We've already built for accessibility from the ground up.
We designed and built the Lackawanna Blind Association's website around the accessibility needs of their community, with the Executive Director herself stating:
"We appreciate how RLM went above and beyond to ensure every element of the site meets accessibility standards while maintaining an easy and engaging user experience for all."

Common questions, answered.
Does the ADA actually apply to my business's website?
In most cases, yes, if your business is open to the public. The ADA says nothing about websites, so the answer comes from how the US Department of Justice and the courts have applied it. The DOJ's position is that Title III covers the websites of businesses that serve the public, and courts have largely agreed.
However, there's no federal rule telling private businesses which technical standard is required. In practice WCAG 2.2 AA is the benchmark that settlements, court decisions, and DOJ guidance keep pointing back to, which is why we test your website against it.
We aren't attorneys, so don't take this as the final word. If you need to know exactly where your business stands, ask a lawyer.
What is WCAG? What do the 2.2 and AA stand for?
WCAG is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines international standard. WCAG 2.2 is the most recent version of the guidelines, with WCAG 3 being expected to be completed in the next few years. WCAG separates its requirements into three conformance levels - A, AA, and AAA.
The A level represents the minimum requirement, AA the industry standard requirement, and AAA the highest level of conformance. We test your site against the WCAG 2.2 AA level as it is the de facto level required based on case law and United States Department of Justice guidance.
Will an accessibility overlay or widget make my site compliant?
Often times not by itself. While they can certainly help, especially for users who can use a mouse, poorly designed overlays can actually hurt the accessibility of your website. Most overlays do not satisfy all WCAG 2.2 AA requirements by themselves.
If I order an audit, am I obligated to buy the remediation?
Absolutely not. While we recommend the remediation service, as it addresses any accessibility issues present on your site, it is by no means required. Perhaps you've previously had ADA work done on your website and only want an audit to ensure your site is still up to date with current WCAG guidelines, or maybe you're a company with your own software team capable of doing remediation work in-house. We don't want to assume your situation.
Your report also includes an estimated range of hours for the remediation work. We can't give you that number beforehand, since a fix might take thirty minutes or twenty hours depending on what we find. The audit gives you the number before you commit to anything else.
Does the Ongoing Monitoring plan include a manual audit?
No. The Ongoing Monitoring plan includes a monthly Scan, defined above. In addition, the plan offers
I just got a demand letter. Can you help?
Not with the letter itself. We're software developers, so we can't provide you with any legal advice. Talk to a lawyer first.
We can, however, do any technical work the letter is asking for. These demands almost always come down to a site failing accessibility standards. By us auditing and fixing any issues with your site, we can hand you written documentation of what was tested and repaired, which your attorney can use.
We can also work to a deadline if you're facing one. Tell us the date when you contact us.
Why are your prices lower than other accessibility firms?
Because we built in-house tooling that optimizes our audit process. It crawls your site, runs automated scans, and assembles your report for us once the manual work is complete, so the hours you pay for go into the screen reader passes and the keyboard testing.
The tradeoff is that we're a software team that does accessibility work instead of a firm that specializes in accessibility. We can't issue VPATs or conformance certifications, and we can't tell you whether you're legally compliant, which is a question for your attorney. If you're a large organization facing active litigation, a specialist firm is probably the better fit for your situation.
A specialist typically hands you a report and stops there. We audit your site, remediate it ourselves, and keep it monitored afterward.
Is your website
leaving people out?
Not sure where you stand? Ask us. It costs nothing and commits you to nothing. We'll tell you straight up what you need, how long it'll take, and what the costs will be.
